The Project – 12 Month Digital Roadmap
The Client: TCG Management Services Ltd
The Brief
Provide a 12 month strategy document for an estate of 108 pubs all trading under different brands and segments. TCG was lagging some way behind much of the leisure industry in its digital presence and wanted to get up to speed quickly across a variety of social platforms.
The Approach
PowerText carried out a detailed audit of TCG across the web, starting with Google search positions, third party listing sites, Google places, Foursquare, Twitter and Facebook. This audit was carried out for each individual location and brand.
We then looked at all the data collection of the previous 12 months and the mechanics used before projecting new collection targets based on our experience and new mechanics.
The Results
The report provided a roadmap with specific advice to bring each individual location up to speed plus a detailed breakdown of individual tasks required by site. We gave a critical overview of the current website position and made recommendations to modernise, including the inclusion of Facebook Apps to help make the websites more efficient business tools.
The plan is now nearly complete with data collection and broadcast targets being met and returns flowing in.
Testimonial
'TCG had been running for 3 years prior to starting to work with PowerText. Very swiftly they were able to identify our main online/viral opportunities and then follow up with a fully costed plan to ensure that we started to compete in the market place within a short time scale. We have now been working with them for 18 months, and we have over 150,000 fans on our 97 Fan Pages on Facebook, on top of this we have seen our email and text databases grow to over 200,000. The activities that we engaged in were all done in small stages to ensure that our General Management population could be educated as we progressed through the plan. Some examples of these are;
Embedded some ‘joined up’ thinking between all of our online portals, through working with our web and design agencies.
Data collection mechanics in every unit across varying mediums.
Delivering an e-flyer broadcast plan to 60% of our database with a mix of local and national offers on a weekly basis.
General Managers having the ability to text their local database with a specific deal/offer.
PowerText has enabled us to compete in a market that previously we were not visable in, and their continued support ensures that we are continually evolving.'
