The Client: Inventive Leisure
Inventive Leisure is a specialist bar operator trading through 63 venues in the UK under the name Revolution. Revolution offer vodka-based drinks in boutique style bars, the majority of which also sell quality food. The environment is party chic, with an emphasis on premium branded product, quality service & a party atmosphere.
The Brief
Encourage Facebook users to sign up to Revolution’s ‘Head Start’ database which is specifically used on Fridays to reward loyal customers with exclusive offers between 5-8pm.
The Approach
The venue in question was already operating an active official Facebook page. PowerText provided an SMS mechanic which, when used alongside a weekly Facebook wall post, enabled customers to text in to a standard rate keyword and be added to the venue’s Head Start group. The venue manager posted on the Facebook wall 2-3 days prior to the Friday Head Start text message being sent out.
The Results
This exercise was repeated seven times in a six month period, generating over 200 replies each week. The Facebook post cost nothing; the text credits cost £10.49.
The campaign was deemed so successful that it is now implemented across the estate.
